We came to live in the village in 1997, and there is not a day goes by when I don't think it was the right decision. I wanted to live my life without hassle, in a place where the people are genuine, with time to chat and to live. I have found all this in this simple little village, and enjoying such wonderful surroundings. I am lucky.

I think you will have realised through reading these pages that I fell in love with the Sierra almost as much as with my wife!!...I got twice lucky!
I was also brought up in a village, so i couldn't conceive a life surrounded by asphalt and concrete. I needed freedom and space, far from the temptations and distractions of the big city.

When I met Angela I knew nothing about Spain, its culture or the language. But the biggest surprise was to come a few months later when I discovered the village where my future wife was from. For the first time in my life i sat down and thought, "This is where i want to see my children grow up."
And that's where we're at. It's not always easy, but it's enough for me to look at my two sons, healthy and strong, running around freely. Or to observe the snow-covered Sierra at sun-set to feel that I made the right decision. And to fell alive !
