By car: For the majority of people the best option is to go through Salamanca. Follow the road towards Portugal until you see signs for Vecinos (C512). From Vecinos go on until Tamames, take the road to Béjar in the direction of Sequeros. Villanueva is 2 km after Sequeros.

By plane: If you're arriving to Madrid by plane you can get to Salamanca either by bus or by train. The metro now goes as far as the airport and is the best option if you don't have much luggage. If you do then there is a bus to the city centre, or take a taxi directly to the bus or train station. The train to Salamanca leaves from Chamartin station, but the better option is to take a coach from Conde de Casal since the journey time and the price are very similar, but the service is much more regular. There is a coach almost every hour on the hour, whereas there are only three trains a day.

If you fly into the international airport in Valladolid, the distance to Salamanca is much shorter, one hour as opposed to two and a half.

By ferry: There are ferries twice weekly from the south of England, Portsmouth or Plymouth, to ports in the north of Spain, Santander or Bilbao. The crossing takes about 24 hours. From the north it is a relatively straight forward drive diagonally down through Burgos and Valladolid before arriving in Salamanca.
